Generosity ranked highest. Children were encouraged to give back to their communities and understand that prosperity carries a social responsibility. Respect followed closely, with families stressing the importance of honoring others regardless of background, income, or status—an antidote to entitlement in any form.

Equally important was a strong work ethic paired with practical skills. Parents wanted their children to be capable of earning their own living and succeeding on merit, rather than relying on inherited advantage. This emphasis was closely tied to self-esteem: children were guided to find their sense of worth independently of money, titles, or family assets.

Financial literacy featured prominently, not as a means to accumulate endlessly, but as a way to manage resources wisely. Alongside this sat a deeper lesson about responsibility for wealth itself—avoiding moral decay, understanding limits, and recognizing that money should serve purpose rather than ego.
